David Luiz admits Charlie Adam is the only name he knows in the Scotland squad but still expects Brazil to face a tough test in their friendly against Craig Levein's side at the Emirates Stadium tomorrow.
The Scots flew into London today from a week's training camp in Spain with everyone in the squad desperate to get a starting slot against the star-studded South Americans, who can boast five World Cup triumphs.
Luiz, who joined Chelsea in January from Benfica, had to negotiate his way past a multi-national media throng when Brazil arrived at Arsenal's stadium for a training session.
When asked about Sunday's opponents, the former Benfica player was polite enough but could only pick out Blackpool midfielder Adam.
"I don't know much about them," he said. "I know that Brazil played against them three times in the World Cup and they made it difficult for them.
"But Charlie Adam is the only name that I know from this team.
"He is an excellent player but I hope he doesn't do too well tomorrow.
"But it is going to be a difficult game because every team that plays against Brazil always does their best. So it's going to be a great game."
Luiz had to be helped by an interpreter in his media activities today but the Stamford Bridge player insists language is not a problem at his new club.
"The language doesn't get in the way at Chelsea," he said.
"I have been taking English classes but the language isn't a problem.
"Everything has been very positive since I signed and I am very happy for this opportunity that God gave me to play at Chelsea.
"I have to keep my concentration and focus to become a better player in the future.
"As for Chelsea, we are still fighting for the title and the Champions League."
Brazil coach Mano Menezes, whose side have lost their last two games, is hoping to give a treat to the thousands of Scotland fans who will arrive in London for Sunday's game.
However, he claims to be wary of the Scots after watching them run world champions Spain close in their 3-2 Euro 2012 qualifying defeat at Hampden last October.
He said: "Football is for the spectators and we will play football to please them.
"The main thing is what happens on the pitch.
"We expect to get back to winning ways again but respect Scotland. I watch a lot of national teams, that is my job and I watched Scotland against Spain
"The team played well and were the equals of Spain.
"They put a lot of players behind the ball and demand a lot of attention because they are a quick counter-attacking side.
"That is what we will be passing on to the players."
AC Milan striker Alexandre Pato and Nilmar of Villarreal had both pulled out and Menezes confirmed that Real Madrid defender Marcelo was also out with an injury, with Internacional striker Leandro Damiao, 21, earning his first cap.
Brazil will have Julio Cesar in goal with a strong back four of Dani Alves, Lucio, Thiago Silva and Andre Santos. In midfield Brazil are set to line up with Lucas, Ramires, Elano and Jadson, with Neymar and Leandro Damiao in attack.
Menezes is looking for a blend of youth and experience as he plans ahead for this summer's Copa America.
"Players are injured but it means opportunities for others," he said.
"That is what football is about.
"We can't complain about injuries because they happen.
"But we need to mix new players with more experienced players. We need stability to do the best for the national team.
"Playing matches is better than training and this is the first stage of our planning.
"We have a friendly against Holland in July and the players I use in these two matches will be the players we use in the Copa America."
