The 25-year-old midfielder has enjoyed a strong season with midtable Championship outfit QPR, scoring six goals and providing three assists in 39 appearances.

Sky Sports have reported Premier League club Crystal Palace are keen on Luongo, while SBS have alleged promotion hopefuls Aston Villa are in the market for him.

The 34-time Australia international has two years remaining on his QPR contract, having joined the Rs from Swindon Town in 2015.

Luongo had won the 2015 Asian Cup MVP award and was remarkably longlisted for the 2015 Ballon d'Or.

QPR director of football Les Ferdinand said last month amid speculation around Luongo that if he maintained his good form it would be "impossible to hold on to him".
