A diving slide tackle from stand-in QPR captain Massimo Luongo spun the ball straight into Wolverhampton's box for Rangers' opener, as Luongo's side upset Wolverhampton 2-1 at Loftus Road.
It was Connor Washington who benefited from Luongo's lucky lunge to score QPR's opener, which was soon cancelled out by Brazilian forward Leo Bonatini, as a high-flying Wolves side looked for their fourth successive league win.
But QPR substitute Matt Smith responded with a well placed header, giving the London side victory in the final minutes to give QPR some much-needed breathing space in the Championship's mid-table pack.
Luongo has had a solid campaign this season - reflected in his leadership role for Rangers and recent transfer speculation to Nottingham Forrest - playing a significant holding role in QPR's midfield at the expense of his more forward thinking counterparts.
It's Luongo's second assist of the season, to accompany the one goal he's scored in 12 league appearances.
Socceroos fans will be hoping he can carry over that good luck to qualifiers against Honduras in November, as Luongo stands as one of the favourites to replace the suspended Mark Milligan in the heart of Australia's midfield.
