This Sunday’s final of Football West’s pre-season competition, the McInerney Ford Night Series, will see Perth Soccer Club play ECU Joondalup for the prestigious Premier title, whilst Bayswater City will battle Ashfield for the right to be crowned First Division/ Amateur League Champions.

7.15pm – ECU Joondalup v Perth – E&D Litis Stadium
Bayswater City defeated Mandurah City 4-1 to proceed to the First Division Final, which will see them take on Ashfield who secured their place after defeating Murdoch 4-0 at ECU Joondalup.
The final of the First Division/Amateur Final will be staged at 5pm on Sunday, 25 March at E&D Litis Stadium, Floreat Athena’s home ground.
The hotly contested Premier League Final will see Perth Soccer Club tackle ECU Joondalup for the esteemed Premier title.
The McInerney Ford Night Series Premier bout will be held at E&D Litis Stadium following the completion and presentation of the First Division/Amateur game at approximately 7.15pm.
“Sunday’s matches promise to be something very special. The quality of football we’ve witnessed so far in the tournament has been great, and I’m sure the finals will be no different,” said Football West CEO, Garry Chandler.

The McInerney Ford Night Series Finals will kickstart a week dedicated to football with the launch of the 2007 season on Wednesday March 28 and the Football West Shield matches held over the last weekend in March.
Over 400 people will attend the sold-out inaugural 2007 Football West Launch, showcasing all that is football with a player parade featuring teams from the State League, First Division, Amateur Premier and Women’s Premier divisions, ball juggling by one of Australia’s best, a video montage, models, dancers and much more.
In another first for football within WA, players from State League sides Sorrento and Stirling Lions, Amateur Division teams Spearwood Dalmatinac and Fremantle United, and Balcatta and Queens Park from the Women’s Premier League, will tackle it out in the Football West Shield over the last weekend in March, hosted by Floreat Athena and Spearwood Dalmatinac.
The Men’s Premier event will see 2006 Cup winners versus League winners in this initiative, which will also feature players from each Premier League side compete in Football West’s inaugural Sprint Challenge, that will determine who really is the quickest in the League.
This exciting weekend of football will also incorporate a friendly match between the recently launched National Training Centre (NTC) boy’s team, and a Football West State League 11 consisting of players from the Premier League U18s nominated by each Premier League club.
