The 40-cap Polish international was awarded the Professional Footballers Australia (PFA) Player of the Month award for February, his second award this season.

Despite Sydney's struggles of late, Mierzejewski was key in a rampant February for the Sky Blues, scoring four goals in three games including a Man of the Match performance in the Sydney derby.

“I’m very happy and proud to have won this award for the second time this season,” Mierzejewski said.

“I’m thankful to have such great players around me and to play in a great environment which allows me to perform to my best.

“I am enjoying my time in the A-League and I believe we will go on to achieve great things this season.”

PFA President, and fellow Sydney FC stalwart Alex Wilkinson praised Mierzejewski for his efforts last month.

“Adrian has settled in so well to the A-League this season and he is really enjoying his football which shows in his performances, which have been top shelf,” Wilkinson said.

Mierzejewski was also named Player of the Month for December.
