The Rossoneri went into the match three points clear of Lazio, who lost at Juventus later in the day, and demonstrated why with a classy performance.

Kevin-Prince Boateng got them off the mark early on before Robinho quickly made it 2-0 and Zlatan Ibrahimovic enjoyed a well-deserved goal of his own after another excellent performance.

Lazio could have reduced the gap back to three points but were unable to emerge from Turin with the points.

Giorgio Chiellini gave Juve a second-minute lead, which Mauro Zarate cancelled out 12 minutes later.

But, just when it looked as though Lazio would be returning to Rome with a share of the spoils, Milos Krasic's 90th-minute cross-shot diverted into the net off Lazio keeper Fernando Muslera.

Juan scored the only goal as Roma returned to winning ways with a 1-0 success over struggling Bari.

The goal came on the half-hour mark and was the difference between the two sides at the Stadio Olimpico.

Ten minutes earlier, Roma captain Francesco Totti saw his penalty saved by goalkeeper Jean Francois Gillet after Michele Rinaldi had brought down Marco Borriello inside the area.

Nicolas Cordova's first-half goal helped Brescia beat Sampdoria 1-0 and get Mario Beretta's time in charge of the club off to a winning start.

Beretta took over from Guiseppe Iachini earlier this week and looked on as Cordova netted after 13 minutes to help keep Brescia out of the bottom three.

Nene netted a hat-trick as Cagliari saw off nine-man Catania 3-0.

The Sicilian side are without a win in their last 10 road trips and were reduced to nine following the dismissals of Martinho and Takayuki Morimoto.

Defeat also saw them slip below their opponents in the standings, with Cagliari now two points and four places better off than Catania.

There was relief for Lecce as they claimed their first win since October 24 thanks to a 3-2 success over Chievo.

Edward Ofere got them going after 16 minutes, with Ignacio Piatti doubling their lead close to the break.

Mariano Bogliacino got Chievo back in it, but Piatti made it 3-1 with 21 minutes left.

Substitute Davide Mandelli gave Chievo a late lifeline with an injury-time strike but Lecce held on for all three points.
