Glory completed their regular season campaign on Saturday with a 2-0 win over Brisbane Roar in Perth, which means the club have won four of their last five matches.

But Perth now face a massive journey to the New Zealand capital where they face the Nix, who haven't lost at Westpac Stadium all season.

Mitchell said after the Brisbane victory: "Very pleasing, we kept a clean sheet and scored a couple of goals and it was a good team performance."

He added: "Wellington will be difficult, its just disappointing because we came so close to getting a home final.

"It is a difficult trip. It is the five hours time-zone difference and the flying, so it's not easy but we understand what we're up against.

"We'll certainly go there with a view of trying to win the game, for sure."

The Glory, who like the Phoenix had 13 home games this season, missed out on the chance of a home final by a point and plus-two goal difference.

But Scott Bulloch, who scored Perth's second goal against the Roar, claimed the club's recent good form put them in good stead.

Bulloch said: "Our finals campaign started today. Obviously going in with a win you get a lot of confidence for the Wellington game."

Nevertheless, Perth have several injury concerns and Mitchell was quizzed on who might be available for the trip to New Zealand.

Mitchell started: "I don't know yet, Mile (Sterjovski) was training himself and Jacob (Burns) hasn't done much yet so we'll wait and see.

He added on Burns: "There is a chance he could play but certainly I don't want to put them out there if they're not fit because we've had some boys who've come in and done very well for the team."

Mitchell confirmed Chris Coyne, who missed the Roar game, would be 'fine' while Victor Sikora was a 'good chance' of being fit, but the Dutchman might find it hard to break back into the team.
