PERTH Glory boss David Mitchell admits job security is a reason he would be prepared to listen to offers from Adelaide United.
The Reds are in search of a new boss after Aurelio Vidmar took up a post with the national team.
Mitchell, linked with the move east, says a move is possible with a year remaining on his Glory contract although he insists he is still happy in his current job.
"My contract's running out this year so it's a situation where if they came and offered a three or four-year deal, and Perth weren't prepared to do that, then obviously you'd have to listen because in the football world there's not many jobs," he told Perth Now.
But there is yet to be an approach from United and Mitchell is happy at Glory.
"I'm more than happy here and I like Perth and I like the people at the club I'm working with," he said.
"The important thing here is that I've built the club up now from when I took over, when we were rock bottom.
"It would be silly to move on and if an opportunity came to stay here longer, then certainly I'd like to do that."
Mitchell began his career with Adelaide City and has family in South Australia.
Meanwhile, German star and former Sydney FC manager Pierre Littbarski has posted his CV for the vacant position. He is also linked with the vacant Notts County post in the UK.
