Netherlands star Sneijder has been left out of Andrea Stramaccioni's side as a dispute over his contract continues, with the club insistent the player accept a cut to his six million-euro salary.

The attacking midfielder said Monday he has no intention of signing a new contract, and although  Moratti was initially optimistic Sneijder would sign a new deal, he has now acknowledged the former Ajax playmaker could be on his way out.

"He has the right to say no to our proposal. There's little room for a counter-proposal, though. His recent comments seem to suggest he's further away from Inter than I thought," Moratti told La Gazzetta dello Sport.

"He either accepts our proposal or he will leave the club.

"We have not received any offers for him yet. We would already be two steps further ahead if we had received any bids. I do not think the situation cannot be solved. Things can change quite sudden in football."

Sneijder's existing contract with Inter is due to expire at the end of the 2014/15 campagin.
