Jose Mourinho has denied travelling to Milan for talks about joining Internazionale.
The former Chelsea and Porto coach's personal advisor Eladio Parames had claimed Mourinho and his agent had flown to Italy to hold discussions with Inter president Massimo Moratti.
But, in a statement released to Portuguese news agency LUSA on Saturday, Mourinho categorically denied the trip.
He said: "I clearly state that it is not true that I went to Milan, nor that I met Moratti who I don't personally know.
"It is false that I am on the point of signing for Inter."
Inter have not commented on the situation, but a spokesperson revealed Moratti was not even in Milan at the time of the reported meeting with Mourinho.
