Problems for New Balance...?
New Balance could be facing serious problems, with Alvaro Negredo (Middlesbrough) and Aaron Ramsey (Arsenal), both wearing blackouts during their FA Cup fixtures last weekend.
While the pair were both spotted wearing blackouts, Ramsey did opt for an unidentifiable pair of New Balance boots, whereas Negredo was seen in either adidas’ Leather X 16.1 or Leather ACE 17.1.
Ramsey did, however, drop a hint that he is still with New Balance after posting a picture to Instagram of himself wearing NB gear sporting the hashtag, #NBFootball.
New Balance does have an unfortunate history of being unable to keep their contracted players in the ‘N’ branded boots.
After being with New Balance as part of their launch into football, Samir Nasri, Adnan Januzaj, Marouane Fellaini, Vincent Kompany and Fernando have all left, but still leaving Tim Cahill, Aaron Ramsey, Jesus Navas and a few others wearing the boots.
We can only imagine that the company would be more interested in keeping Ramsey in their boots over Negredo.
