The AFC version of Nike's Total 90 Omni will be the Match Ball for all AFC competitions and carries the AFC logo and slogan ‘The Future is Asia’ on backdrop of the trademark AFC blue.

“AFC welcomes the launch of the Total 90 Omni and we hope it will lead to an even more enriching football experience for our players,” said AFC Director of Marketing and Communications and Assistant General Secretary, Clare Kenny Tipton.

“This is yet another milestone in the growing stature of Asian football. The launch in Asia is part of the global launch programme. AFC commends Nike on their continuing and growing commitment to Asian football.”

The AFC claims the ball is a new benchmark in design.

"The launch of the Total 90 Omni is the result of long-term research towards engineering a total football experience," they said.

"The technical parameters of the ball promise consistent accuracy, with geometric precision and even distribution of pressure across the panels around the ball.

"It is engineered to be the game’s perfect sphere, and consistent, accurate and powerful no matter where it is hit."

The AFC added: "The Total 90 Omni also carries the following features:

"Asymmetrical high contract graphic generates a powerful visual signal as the ball rotates.

"Generates a powerful visual signal as the ball rotates.

"Easier to identify and track in peripheral vision.

"Microgrooved PU casing.

"Exceptional shape retention, durability, aerodynamic stability.

"Cross-linked nitrogen-expanded foam which ensure consistent, soft feel in all conditions.

"Engineered rubber response layer which stores energy away from impact and releases it at launch.

"Polyester/cotton support fabric which enhances structure and stability."

Umm, well...yeah.
