Made three tackles, three interceptions, and three clearances, and set up Topor-Stanley for the penalty. Was forced off with injury late on.

Won the penalty, made eight clearances, and won three duels.

Daniel Georgievski - 7

Reacted quickly to deny Sydney a second equaliser. Had a couple of chances to seal the result late on.

Steven Ugarkovic - Ā 7

Won five duels, made five clearances and delivered another commanding performance in Newcastle's midfield.

Wayne Brown - 6

Won five duels and made three tackles, but made way for Kantarovski at half-time.

Dimitri Petratos - 7

Scored the opener from the spot. His seventh against his former club. Delivered crosses and created chances for his side. Only the post denied him a second.

Riley McGree - 7

Won four duels, two fouls, and always looked to create something going forward. However it was his foul on Wilkshire which led to Sydney's equaliser.

Andrew Nabbout - 8

Was always a hassle for the Sydney defence, and became Newcastle's third all-time goal scorer when he struck from outside the box to give the Jets the lead for a second time.

Has never beaten Sydney FC and was sent off inside 15 minutes for violent conduct Jordy Buijs. Newcastle's first red card of the season.

His crossing wasn't always accurate and fouled Nabbout twice in a matter of moments.

Made six clearances and won four duels in another calm and collected performance.

Jordy Buijs - 7

The Dutchman was in everything at McDonald Jones Stadium. Earned the ire of Jets fans when O'Donovan was sent off then set up Bobo's equaliser.

Found plenty of space to deliver crosses against his former club but struggled to find a teammate.

Brandon O'Neill - 6

O'Neill had a quiet night by his standards touching the ball only 41 times and making over 30 passes before being replaced by Simon when Sydney were chasing the game. He was also booked for a foul on Georgievski

Josh Brillante - 7

Arguably Sydney's best. Made close to 70 passes holding midfielder also made intercepted the ball four times.

Alex Brosque - 5

Received a yellow card for debating the penalty. Has 13 goals against the Jets but missed an opportunity to add to his tally.

Adrian Mierzejewski - 7

Came close to opening the scoring in the first half, hitting the crossbar from a free-kick. Had another shot cleared off the line. Had more touches than any other player with 103.

Milos Ninkovic - 6

Had a chance to add to his five goals against the Jets but couldn't find the target, was booked for a tackle on Boogaard moments later.

Bobo - 6

The A-League's leading goalscorer scored his 22nd of the season with a header just after the break. Was caught offside on a couple of occasions.
