If you like your football boots flash, you're going to need to be quick to get the best kicks for next season. Nike is offering 12 Australian consumers the chance to trump their teammates with its Mercurial Vapor SL – a lightweight “concept” boot.
Sport Stop in NSW’s Stanhope Gardens will to be selling the only 12 pairs in the country to the first punters with $500 to spare on Wednesday 8th October from 5.30pm.
Didier Drogba and Cristiano Ronaldo have been trialing the boot designed to celebrate 10 years of Nike's Mercurial football line. Cristiano been doing alright with them, after he netted a Champions League Final goal in Moscow earlier this year.
The focus of the boot is speed, as the almost completely carbon fiber boot aims to increase speed and ball-handling.
So any boot obsessed players who can justify $500 to potential gain some ground on the pitch and become the number one club target for sliding tackles should gather in the Stanhope Gardens on the 8th.
