For the third year running, Nike and EA Sports have released a special edition boot to celebrate the millions of gamers who play FIFA 19.

The previous collaborations included a Mercurial in 2016 and a Hypervenom last year, both proving to be incredibly popular with FIFA fans.

This year will be no different as Nike’s Phantom VSN model provides the perfect canvas for a stunning digital makeover.

The blue and silver reflective upper consists of a flurry of controller buttons from both the PS4 and Xbox consoles.

A pearlescent coating on the soleplate exhibits the Phantom VSN’s tech ribbing and may just be the best feature of the boot.

The crimson red swoosh and stud tips complete the look, with a slick gold EA Sports logo brandished on the Ghost Lace cover.

Not only will the collaboration be available in the top-shelf Elite version, they will also be released for the much cheaper Academy model.

The Elite versions will be worn by Manchester City’s Kevin De Bruyne, Juventus’ Federico Bernardeschi and Chelsea’s Fran Kirby.

The Nike x EA Sports Phantom VSN boots will be available from the 12th of December from Nike’s online store.
