NEWCASTLE Jets' financial woes will not put the club's clash with Brisbane Roar in jeopardy according to A-League boss Lyall Gorman.
Speaking with the Courier Mail, Gorman said Sunday's clash would go ahead at the end of a turbulent week for the Hunter club.
Wages are yet to paid at the club but the players appear to understanding of the situation - for now. However, they want a swift resolution with bills to pay and mortgages to meet.
There is also the issue of the club needing to meet its match-day costs at EnergyAustralia Stadium.
"I can say with 100 per cent certainty that the game will be going ahead," Gorman said.
"We're engaged in conversations with the Jets on an ongoing basis and we're committed to working with them to understand what their issues are and solving them."
As for the visiting Roar side, chief executive Peter McLennan said: "We've been told by the FFA that the game is on. It's not our problem. It's between the Jets and the FFA to sort this out."
