Victory's run of form has moved them up to fifth place on the A-League table onto 32 points and they loom large as a threat for the championship.

''We were always on the radar of the other teams, naturally our history suggests we come good at the end of the season, but what they think and what we actually do are two different stories,'' Muscat said.

''We've had to work hard and we've built a little bit of momentum now.

"It was good to come away with three points (in Friday's 2-1 win over Central Coast) and put a little bit of pressure on the teams above us and around us as well, to get a result.

''Looking forward, we've got these six games in three and a half weeks, there's certainly not a thought of 'this is going to be tough'. We want more games, bring it on.

''There's more opportunities to win points if you've got more games so we'll look forward to that.

''The aim at the moment is to have a good run in and come finals time, if we're lucky enough to make it, to give it a shake.''
