QUEENSLAND Roar starlet Tahj Minniecon is in the middle of a contract row with his club...but has categorically ruled out a lucrative move north.
North Queensland Fury have offered Cairns-born Tahj a tempting megamoney deal to take the youngster to Townsville, including making him their junior marquee star.
But not even a $150,000 plus ASAs could lure Tahj back to the tropics.
His agent Bernie Mandic revealed to Brisbane's Courier-Mail: "No matter how much they offer, Tahj isn't interested in going there."
Minniecon's future is still uncertain though after pay negotiations for a new contract fell through after a reportedly poor offer from Roar.
The Brisbane side were said to have offered less than half of the worst of several other offers from rival clubs which left Tahj's management stunned.
Madic added: ""I'm a little astounded. It makes you wonder how desperately the Roar want Tahj."
He said Minniecon had received big money offers from clubs in Norway and Japan but had snubbed them in favour of staying at Roar on the promise of an improved deal.
However the contract presented to Tahj feel way short of expectations. Contract talks have now been suspended for a month.
