Melbourne City have lost two players as they regroup under new coach Erick Mombaerts who wants to usher in a new winning style at the A-League under-achievers.
Classy defender Bart Schenkeveld, 27, exits after being unable to negotiate a new pay deal with the club, despite impressive performances in the City backline last season.
The Dutchman leaves after two years and 51 games for the club.
Kearyn Baccus is also leaving and returning to his native South Africa midway through his three and a half year deal with City.
Baccus, who also had stints at Perth Glory and Western Sydney Wanderers, is moving to a club in South Africa.
The 27-year-old, who was born in Durban, played 27 A-League games last season for City after joining the club from the Wanderers, initially as an injury replacement player.
