Palermo have played down speculation that former England head coach Sven-Goran Eriksson has been identified as a permanent successor to the sacked Francesco Guidolin.
Guidolin was dismissed on Monday with assistant Renzo Gobbo installed as coach of the Sicilian club until the end of the season.
Eriksson has been linked with the Rosaneri but club officials insist no decision will be made until the summer on the new coach and played down talk that the Swede was in the frame.
A Palermo spokesman told au.fourfourtwo.com: "There have been lots of names mentioned in the media but the situation is that Renzo Gobbo is coach until the end of the season.
"In the summer we will look at who is available and a decision will be taken."
Eriksson parted company with England after last year's World Cup elimination at the quarter-finals at the hands of Portugal.
He is reportedly keen on a return to Serie A where he worked with Roma, Fiorentina, Sampdoria and Lazio, whom he led to the 1999-2000 Scudetto.
