Sven-Goran Eriksson has been confirmed as the new manager of Chinese Super League side Guangzhou R and F.
The Swede left his position as technical director of Al Nasr in Dubai on Monday, and has now signed an 18-month contract with Guangzhou.
Li Bing had been in temporary charge of the side, who currently sit 13th in the Chinese Super League standings.
"The Guangzhou R and F club board of directors have today officially hired Sven-Goran Eriksson as football coach to serve until December 2014," a statement on the club's official website read.
"From today Li Bing will no longer be serving in the post of acting head coach."
The 64-year-old Eriksson has had a distinguished managerial career across Europe, winning league titles with Benfica in Portugal and Lazio in Italy.
He also had a five-year stint as manager of the England national team, guiding them to successive FIFA World Cup quarter-finals in 2002 and 2006.
Spells as manager of Manchester City and Leicester followed, while Eriksson has also taken charge of Mexico and the Ivory Coast.
