Brisbane Roar's injury woes show no sign of abating with central defender, Avraam Papadopoulos, out for the rest of the season.
Papadopoulos suffered an ankle fracture at training that will keep him out for the rest of the A-League season, even if the Roar make finals.
The fracture occurred during a "non-competitive" drill during Brisbane Roar training. He is scheduled to undergo surgery tomorrow.
After playing back-up to Jade North and Luke DeVere in his debut campaign, the former Greek international and Olympiakos stalwart has featured more regularly under John Aloisi this season, scoring three goals.
With DeVere still under an injury cloud, Roar will have to rely on Daniel Bowles and Jade North at the back, both of whom have had their own spells out of the game this season.
