PORTUGAL defender Pepe believes compatriot Cristiano Ronaldo is eager to join him at Real Madrid.
Pepe, who is in pre-season training in Irdning with the Spanish champions, is confident the Manchester United winger would adapt well to the Primera Liga.
Ronaldo is Madrid´s main transfer target this summer, but is under contract with the Red Devils who are unwilling to see the 23-year-old leave Old Trafford.
"I have spoken to him (Ronaldo)," said Pepe. "I believe he would get a good welcome as I did last year from the technical team and from all the players.
"He would not have a problem, that is certain.
"He is looking forward to coming here and he has said it many times. He likes Madrid and knows the greatness of this club."
