Brimmer joins the Glory after being released by Liverpool last month following three years with the Premier League giants.

The 19-year-old orignally wanted to stay in Europe, but has elected to come back to Australia instead.

Brimmer, who was born in Melbourne, has represented Australia at both U17 and U20 level in previous years.

“Jake is one of the brightest young Australian prospects and we beat off some stiff competition from clubs in both Europe and the Hyundai A-League to sign him,” said Glory Head of Football Jacob Burns.

“He’s an intelligent midfielder with a great passing range and technical ability who has the potential to be a massive asset to the club.

“We’re really excited to have him on board.”

Brimmer may make his debut on Tuesday in Melbourne as Perth take on Heidelberg United in the FFA Cup Round of 32.
