Portuguese coach Jose Peseiro will return to Saudi Arabia to coach their national team, the Saudi Arabia football Association announced in an official press release.
Peseiro, who coached Riyadh giants Al Hilal in 2005/06, will replace local coach Nasser Al Johar who resigned from his position with the team following their 1-0 defeat at the hands of DPR Korea in a World Cup qualifier last Wednesday.
The 48-year-old coach, who has coached previously at Sporting Lisbon, Panathinaikos and Rapid Bucharest, will arrive in Saudi Arabia on Friday and will sign a contract to with the Saudi FA to become the 20th coach of the national team since 1994.
Saudi Arabia are currently fourth in their World Cup qualifying group.
