STEVE Corica has been hailed as one of his generation's greatest performers with the PFA also highlighting Andrew Clark as a shining example to the game in Australia.

The duo have both decided to hang up their boots at the end of the current campaign with the PFA swift to acknowledge their respective contributions to the game.
Robbie Middleby has also decided to call it a day with the PFA expected to acknowledge his efforts later today.
"Both players (Corica and Clark) began their senior football careers in the National Soccer League and have significantly contributed to Australian football during a period of vast change for the game," said a PFA spokesman.
"One of his generation's great link men, Steve's ability to create incisive phases of football coupled with his uncanny knack of scoring crucial goals will be greatly missed by all Australian football fans.
The PFA wishes Steve well as he transitions into a youth development role with Sydney FC."
The union has picked out Clark has a tremendous example of an individual who plans ahead.
"Andrew is a rare breed of footballer that combines a genuine off field club role with the weekly demands of playing A-League football," said the spokesman.
"He is also the Central Coast's Fitness & Conditioning Coach having earned a Bachelor of Sports Science in 1996. He is currently completing a Master of Philosophy in Sports Science. As an inaugural winner of the PFA Kimon Taliadoros Scholarship, Andrew is a fantastic example to his fellow players on how early preparation for the end of your playing days makes the transition to a new role in the game smoother than it may otherwise be.
"The PFA wishes Andrew further success with the Central Coast as he continues to influence the game day performances of his team in a coaching capacity."
