English giants Chelsea came to Perth, attracted 55,522 fans and conquered Glory with a 1-0 triumph after Pedro's early strike at Optus Stadium on Monday night.
Chelsea
12 – Marcin Bulka – 6.5
Wasn’t required to do much. Didn’t put a foot wrong with distribution albeit conservative.
3 – Marcos Alonso - 6
Constantly involved although he didn’t offer much attacking threat down the left. Solid with passing but Glory had some joy down the right. Subbed off at half-time.
30 – David Luiz – 7
Cool distribution and the occasional trundle up field created headaches for Glory. Picked up a rare yellow card in a friendly for a foul on Fabio Ferreira. Never troubled.
44 – Ethan Ampadu – 6.5
Early head knock cushioned by his impressive dreadlocks. Covered Andy Keogh well and was decent with distribution, not trying anything beyond him. Subbed off after an hour.
21 – Davide Zappacosta – 7
Got forward plenty and was involved in some good interplay which opened up a good first-half chance for Pedro. Shut down most of Glory’s attacking thrusts down their left.
8 – Ross Barkley - 6.5
Flashes of quality during the first half in midfield and had his chances on goal when moved into a more advanced role in the second half but simply couldn't convert. Hit post in 52nd minute with a scuffed shot. Spurned too many chances.
4 – Cesc Fabregas - 7
Pushed out to right-hand side in first half. Well weighted 25th minute lofted ball found Barkley who couldn’t convert. Always chose the right option and classy throughout. Tested Liam Reddy with a 58th minute curler.
5 – Jorginho - 7
Started centrally and was involved throughout before being replaced at the main break. His radar wasn’t always on but looks a lively new signing for Chelsea.
20 – Callum Hudson-Odoi – 7.5

The star of the first half, displaying brilliant skill and lead-up play on the left flank to assist Pedro’s opener. Skinned Djulbic late in the opening 45, ran the length of the field to almost set up another.
9 – Alvaro Morata – 5.5
Caught offside too much and a poor touch cost him when released on goal in the 27th minute. Replaced after an hour, needs to improve.
11 – Pedro - 7.5
Touch of class with a cool cushioned finish for opening goal. Miscued shot when set up for a good opening by Zappacosta. Classy, unlucky not to score with a 67th minute volley.
SUBS
14 – Tiemoue Bakayoko - 6
Flashed in and out of the game after half-time introduction.
19 – Mario Pasalic - 6.5
Brought in at half-time to right-side of midfield. Looked comfortable and hit the post with a curling 65th minute effort.
33 – Emerson - 5.5
Came on at half-time and had some issues taming Ferreira.
10 – Tammy Abraham - 6.5
The rangy forward was dangerous. Almost scored within three minutes of his introduction.
18 – Tomas Kalas - 7
Decent 30-minute stint at centre-back alongside David Luiz.
2 - Ola Aina - 5.5
Jason Davidson and Diego Castro combined to cause him some grief at right-back after a late introduction.
22 - Lucas Piazon - 6
Not much time to make an impression as Chelsea lost interest.
17 - Charly Musonda - 5.5
Didn't have much time to make an impact.
Perth Glory
33 – Liam Reddy - 7.5
Made a series of outstanding saves to keep it 1-0. Thwarted Barkley in the 25th minute. Excellent save with legs to deny Barkley on the hour too. Also maybe got a finger to a low Fabregas curler and made a superb save from Pedro's second half volley.
5 – Ivan Franjic - 5.5
Looked rusty early on with a few turnovers and ambitious passes. Settled into the game.
2 – Alex Grant - 6
Relatively quiet game in Glory's back five. Did what was required but troubled by Chelsea's movement up front.
4 – Shane Lowry - 7
Tussled with Morata for an hour and won. Blanketed Morata well to deny a 27th minute one-on-one chance. Turnover opened up chance for Barkley which hit the post but otherwise led the backline well.
6 – Dino Djulbic - 5.5
Not comfortable with ball at feet and was skinned by Hudson-Odoi late in the first half. Barked out orders all night. Out of his depth at times.
23 – Scott Neville - 6.5
Tough job on the lively Hudson-Odoi in the first half. Crucial block to deny Fabregas in the 30th minute. One of a handful to play all 90 minutes.
21 – Jacob Italiano - 5
Created an early corner and showed endeavour but not involved enough before being replaced at the break.
8 – Neil Kilkenny - 6
Busy in the middle of the park against top opposition. Outclassed but kept trying and showed composure too.
15 – Brandon Wilson - 5.5
Got stuck in and would've learned a lot. Looked out of his depth at times.
22 – Fabio Ferreira - 7
Arguably's Perth best. Tenacious in the 12th minute to beat Marcos Alonso and win a corner. Good half-chance after being released by Keogh. Threatening early in the 2nd half.
9 – Andy Keogh - 6
No luck with limited supply and alone up front. Unable to genuinely trouble Chelsea centre-backs. Deft touch opened up a chance for Ferreira in the second half.

SUBS
14 – Chris Harold - 6.5
Half-time sub. Went on a good run with a deflected left-foot strike going wide late on, almost created something out of nothing in 90th minute too.
3 - Jason Davidson - 6.5
Got forward down the left flank to create some half-chances after 68th minute substitution. Impressive.
7 - Joel Chianese - 5
Couldn't get into the game on the right flank during his 20-minute stint.

11 - Brendon Santalab - 6
Fizzed half-chance from a corner wide and had a late long-range shot just miss the post. Poor tackle on Pasalic earned him a booking.
20 - Jake Brimmer - 5
Replaced Kilkenny after 68 minutes. Found the going tough.
17 - Diego Castro - 6.5
Buzzed around and won a corner after being brought on with 15 minutes to go. Looked dangerous on the ball, needs fitness.
27 - Juande - 6
Could be a handy signing but didn't have much time to make an impression.
