Mali players Frederic Kanoute and Mamady Sidibe were both injured during crowd disturbances following their 2-0 win away to Togo in an African Nations Cup match, L'Equipe has reported.
Neither player is in a serious condition but Sidibe and Kanoute both needed medical treatment, according to the paper, after Togo supporters attacked Mali's fans and players in Lome.
Mali coach Jean-Francois Jodar told L'Equipe: "Mamadi Sidibe took a blow, doubtless with a weapon, which caused bruising to his arm. Frederic Kanoute was hit with a belt.
"It was like a battlefield. There was blood everywhere in the dressing room."
