JAMIE Harnwell celebrated his 200th match for Perth Glory by scoring a second half header to steal a valuable point against Adelaide.

It was Harnwell’s fifth goal of the season and a reward for the club stalwart's typically passionate performance while proudly wearing the captain’s armband in his milestone match.
“I guess fate was on my side and I managed to get a head to the ball at the right time and it went in,” Harnwell said.
“I thought to myself before the match that a goal would be a great way to remember my 200th game and I’m delighted it worked out that way."
Adelaide United FC were left frustrated by their second successive draw at home.
United fielded a young and relatively inexperienced line up which included Shaun Ontong and Tomi Milardovic, making their first starts for the clu.
And despite enthusiasm and commitment, The Reds were left to rue another missed opportunity to stay with the A-League frontrunners.
In a match that was more a war of attrition as both sides threw their bodies on the line, United struck first in the 41st minute with a clinical finish from Richie Alagich after a superb through ball from Robert Cornthwaite.
However, Glory were not to be denied, equalising 15 minutes into the second half when Perth captain Jamie Harnwell struck from a set piece.
While he was pleased by the effort, United Coach Aurelio Vidmar said his side still struggled with simple aspects of the game that are required to get results.
“They definitely put in an effort so I don’t know if it’s a little bit of confidence but we’ve just got to remain positive,” Vidmar said.
From the kick-off, Perth took the game to the home side in the opening ten minutes, the Reds absorbing the pressure as they looked to attack the Glory down the right hand side, Alagich prominent with a number of threatening runs from midfield.
Perth’s early dominance resulted in Cornthwaite receiving a yellow card in the 14th minute, meaning he will miss the trip to face Wellington.
United was finding the going tough as Perth showed they had come to play as marquee signing Paul Agostino tried to lift the Reds with some magic down the right, but his hard was not rewarded.
Agostino’s strike partner Dez Giraldi then tried his best to inspire his team mates with a spectacular overhead kick, forcing a save from Perth keeper Tom Tomich.
Giraldi’s effort seemed to kick start United, Alagich letting loose down the right again in the 28th minute, as he gave Glory defender Mark Lee the run around, however his well measured crosses were either cut out by Tomich or blocked by the Perth defence.
United started to find more of the ball, spending more time in Perth’s third of the pitch, but the first half an hour produced no goals which could not be blamed from the lack of trying from both teams.
Then in the 40th minute Cornthwaite provided a well timed ball for a determined Alagich to run on to, and the player who had provided so much for United in the opening exchanges was rewarded as he shot low past Tomich inside the far post to give Adelaide the lead.
Perth started the second half like the first but lacked the finishing touch to draw level.
However their persistence would eventually pay off as the Hindmarsh Stadium crowd was left stunned, when a Perth free kick from the left found the head of Harnwell between Milan Susak and Angelo Costanzo, the ball going over the leaping United keeper Eugene Galekovic and into the net to level the score.
Perth nearly gifted the lead straight back to United, when Lee headed an attempted Giraldi lob pass for Agostino who marginally shot wide of his own net.
The Reds were being forced to battle hard as Perth’s tall timber went searching for a second. A cramping Ontong was replaced by Fabian Barbiero, who was making his first Hyundai A-League appearance, while Milardovic, who threw himself into every challenge, made way for Isyan Erdogan with less than ten minutes to go.
United’s best chance to steal the points were coming from counter attacks, Giraldi nearly making the most of a long ball from Galekovic but he could not keep his lob from landing on the roof of the net.
Agostino continued to work tirelessly as United searched for a winner, and an Alagich thunderbolt requiring a double fisted save from Tomich.
United had one last corner at the death after brilliant work from Susak, but a foul was called on Costanzo as the ball was sent into the area, just before Erdogan did find the net, but the whistle had already blown, and United were forced to swallow a second 1-1 result in a row.
