GOLD Coast United new boy Joel Porter is on a mission to make life miserable for Socceroos skipper Lucas Neill this weekend as the duo go head to head in the FA Cup.
English third-tier club Hartlepool United take on Neill's West Ham United in the fourth round of the competition this weekend - a match to be televised by English television.
Porter is relishing the chance for a second crack at Neill, having only played against him once before during his career.
The Hartlepool striker goes into the match full of confidence after bagging a brace in his last match. The Hammers in contrast are the subject of rumours and and speculation that numerous stars could be on their way out of Upton Park.
Porter told hartlepoolunited.co.uk: "I think we’re all looking forward to it and with it being on television there is that extra attention on you."
The United hitman admits he cannot wait to test himself against Neill, a player he has huge admiration for.
He said: "I played against him once when he was in the Olympic side and they played a warm-up game against Melbourne Knights.
“He’s a fantastic player and he deserves all the success he’s had. He’s well thought of in Australia and has done wonders for the game over there."
However, the pleasantries will have to wait until after the match with Porter hoping he'll have helped end Neill's Wembley dreams for another year.
“It’s always nice to come up against a fellow Australian. It doesn’t happen too often but I think we have the same mentality that we want to win regardless of whether it’s cricket, football or whatever.
“Hopefully I can have a chat with him after the game but before that I want to make sure we do the business on the pitch," he said.
