PSV Eindhoven must put the disappointment of European failure behind them as they bid to defend their crown in the most close-run Eredivisie title race in years .
PSV were eliminated from the Champions League by Liverpool in midweek after losing their quarter-final tie 4-0 on aggregate, and now have to focus attention on their domestic campaign.
This weekend Ronald Koeman's side play host to fourth-placed FC Twente - a side still harbouring title ambitions of their own - and the former Dutch international believes his side can take plenty of positives from their European efforts.
Koeman told PSV's official website, www.psv.nl: "Looking back, the campaign has been positive.
"We have collected a great many points, and have done Dutch football a favour."
PSV currently head the Eredivisie table by two points, ahead of AZ Alkmaar and Ajax, who both also have the luxury of home fixtures over the weekend.
Ajax could temporarily go top if they manage to see-off mid-table NAC Breda on Friday, before AZ host Vitesse Arnhem at the weekend.
AZ have lost just one game all season at the DSB Stadion and will hope their midweek UEFA Cup tie at Werder Bremen does not hamper their preparations for this crucial league match.
At the other end of the table, Excelsior and RKC Waalwijk are set to battle it out in what promises to be a pulsating relegation dogfight.
Excelsior lie fourth from bottom, four points ahead of their lowly rivals.
Bottom side ADO Den Haag are in real danger of automatic relegation and will look to kick-start an 11th-hour escape bid against Roda JC.
Elsewhere, Sparta Rotterdam take on FC Utrecht on Friday, while FC Groningen host NEC Nijmegen. Willem II and Heerenveen meet in Tilburg on Sunday while struggling Heracles Almelo will look to pick up the pace against fifth-placed Feyenoord.
