The charges were brought against the club for "failing to ensure that its players and/or officials conducted themselves in an orderly fashion and refraining from violent and/or threatening and/or provocative behaviour".

The brawl resulted in Chinese player Zheng Tao being left unconscious with a broken jaw and seven of the Chinese team being sent home.

Former Premiership referee Dermot Gallagher had to end the game 15 minutes early after the trouble which involved up to 30 people.

Rangers assistant manager Richard Hill - who has been suspended indefinitely by the club - faces a charge of violent conduct and has yet to respond. He has until March 12.
