Shaun Blackman and Tyson Holmes each bagged a brace, while Jai Cross, Michael Scarff and Ben Knight were also in on the action.

Sunshine Coast were eager to put the ghosts of the Major Semi-Final and the catch up game the week before that, behind them and they did so right from the start – scoring three in the opening 25 minutes.

While it was the first time this year that the Razorbacks have conceded more than three goals in a single game, the Razorbacks never really got going and were out-muscled, out-skilled and out-paced in what was expected to be a more evenly matched Preliminary Final, following some impressive performances from both sides throughout the season.

The only dark cloud in Sunshine Coast FC’s sky was the yellow card given to Shaun Blackman – his second in finals series, which means he misses the Grand Final.
