Real Madrid captain Raul has backed a summer move for Manchester United winger Cristiano Ronaldo.
The Portugal international is currently in talks over a new contract with United but should they break down, Raul believes the Spanish giants would be an attractive proposition.
He told Spanish radio station Punto Radio: "Cristiano Ronaldo is young and would be a great signing.
"I think it's possible that Real Madrid can sign him. This season Ronaldo has made a big leap in quality."
Madrid are looking to recruit a right-sided midfielder this summer to replace David Beckham, who has agreed to join the LA Galaxy in America's MLS.
