ADELAIDE United have a fight to secure Lloyd Owusu with Brighton and Hove Albion confirming they will offer him a deal.
Owusu says the Reds have offered him a two-year deal at Hindmarsh and the prospect of Asian Champions League football is appealing to the much-travelled forward.
However, he also said his preference was to remain in England and his goals for Albion at the end of last season (while on loan from Cheltenham Town) helped save the Seagulls from relegation in England's League One.
He told Brighton's official website: "If there is a contract available I would love to stay with Brighton."
Owusu was voted April's League One player of the month and promptly declared that he wanted to carry on playing until he was 40.
