NEW Adelaide recruits Inseob Shin and Mark Rudan have finally got the all clear to play against Sydney FC on Sunday.
Shin missed out on a spot on the bench for United's season opener against Perth Glory after the Korean Football Federation failed to send through his release in time, but he is now free to be considered for selection to face Sydney FC.
Former Sydney FC captain Rudan, who signed with The Reds from Switzerland Axpo Super League club FC Vaduz on a one year deal less than a week ago, is also clear to play. However the defender last week suggested he was still a couple of weeks away from being match fit.
The delays were caused after a hold up in the paperwork.
The FFA applies to the player's previous national association which then requests the player's former club signs off the player as being free to register.
But if theĀ former club or former association holds up or ignores the request, as happened in the case of Shin, a period of 30 days must lapse before the FFA can register the player.
Despite United's best efforts on Friday night, waiting until literally the last minute for the Koreans to respond - the club was unable to register Shin for Friday's game with Perth.
