Speaking to reporters at Hindmarsh Stadium today - a day after United suffered a 2-1 loss to Brisbane Roar - Galekovic attacked the club's hierarchy.

The veteran goalkeeper, unwilling to say whether he would ask to be released from his four-year deal, also suggested John Kosmina was 'pushed' to quit in January.

"I think it starts from the top and it goes all the way down and the main thing is football people need to make football decisions at this football club," Galekovic said.

"I think football people should just make those decisions - leave that for just football people. If there aren't any football people at this football club, maybe they've got to bring in people."

Adelaide were top of the A-League early in the season and remained in the top two until their 2-0 loss to Melbourne Heart in mid-January.

After Kosmina's exit, United struggled under Michael Valkanis and their loss to Roar marked the end of their campaign.

Galekovic was 'gutted' by the finals loss and said the culture needed to change, citing Daniel Mullen's decision to join Melbourne Victory on loan from Dalian Aerbin rather than return to Adelaide as proof players no longer wanted to play for United.

"One thing that needs to change is the culture of the football club. Over the last few years we used to be the benchmark of the A-League," he said.

"Every player wanted to come here and play for Adelaide United. I think that's changed."

Griffin responded via a club statement, saying the club's end-of-season review had been brought forward after Galekovic's comments.

He said an announcement on a new full-time coach would be made 'in the near future' and was unhappy Galekovic went public with his concerns.

"Whilst we are clearly disappointed with the forum Eugene has chosen to vent his concerns, it is a catalyst to have this open meeting to enable any other issues players and staff to be raised and dealt with," Griffin said in the statement.

"This is the type of concern that some may have but for which there are perfectly reasonable answers.

"It is hoped that the process we start tomorrow will give all people associated with the club a better understanding of why certain decisions are made.

"If at the end of this we have a more transparent and accessible club then the club will be a better place for it."
