ADELAIDE United have re-signed youngsters Kristian Sarkies and Fabian Barbiero to two- and one-year contracts respectively.
The deals mean that Sarkies will remain in the city of churches until at least the end of the 2009-10 season while Barbiero will stay at the Reds until the completion of the next Hyundai A-League season.
Adelaide coach Aurelio Vidmar was delighted to have secured the services of both promising players.
"Kristian has got a lot of potential and we believe that we can still squeeze a lot more out him to become the player we think he can be," Vidmar said of the Qantas Under-23s squad member.
"Fabian has been training on and off for quite awhile and we've seen him grow as a player in that time," Vidmar said of Barbiero.
"He's a player that can fit into a number of roles when needed, and that was proof when he entered the Hyundai A-League last season. He is capable of performing at this level."
