ADELAIDE United have received some good news on Dario Vidosic, with the Reds prime mover a chance to return in just two weeks, despite revealing he's played with a broken back.
Vidosic lasted just 53 minutes of last Friday's clash against Newcastle before he succumbed to the back injury he suffered against Wellington the week before.
Early reports suggested the fringe Qantas Socceroo could be out of action for the remainder of the season, but Adelaide doctor James Ilic said that's not the case.
"Dario has an un-displaced fracture of upper lumbar transverse process," said Ilic. "He will miss this week's game but could resume within 2-3 weeks depending on the level of discomfort."
Vidosic believes it will be a matter of seeing how the healing and recovery process goes to determine when he will be available to take the field again.
