ADELAIDE United boss Rini Coolen was delighted with the way his team carried out its game plan in the victory over Gold Coast United at Hindmarsh Stadium.
The 2-1 win keeps the Reds tucked in behind Brisbane Roar at the top of the ladder.
"If you see the whole 90-94 minutes we played, it was tactically perfect," he told Fox Sports.
"We created a lot of chances, we kept the ball, we never gave it away, so you can only be happy."
Gold Coast boss Miron Bleiberg had no complaints about the defeat.
"We are not that good that we can beat Adelaide with 10 men," he said.
He was referring to the dismissal of James Brown on the hour mark.
