Reja, 66, was speaking after Sunday's Derby della Capitale, where his side triumphed 2-1 over city rivals Roma for the second time this season.

An early penalty from Hernanes was cancelled out by Fabio Borini, but a bullet header from Stefano Mauri won the game for the Biancocelesti, leaving Reja to comment on his future at the club.

"This team can still grow and I'd like to be in charge for a long time," Reja said.

"It's important in the derby not to get caught up in the atmosphere, and with the help of (Miroslav) Klose early on, my team did well. We created many chances and deserved to win.

"Winning this game has given me great satisfaction."

The former Napoli trainer had tendered his resignation before the club's Europa League tie with Atletico Madrid last month, but the offer was rejected by the Lazio board.

Reja's side now sit third in the Serie A table, two points ahead their nearest rivals Udinese.
