ADELAIDE United coach Rini Coolen believes Friday night's 2-0 victory over Melbourne Heart was one of his side's best wins this term, after ending a run of three losses in four matches.
"Technically I think we did real well. We had our game plan and if you don't let Melbourne play its own game, then they have some problems and in our transition we did well," Coolen said.
"It was a fantastic game for us and that's how we prefer to come back...this is how Adelaide wants to play and it was one of our best games I think."
Coolen added he was excited by the prospect of his side's next match at home to the impressive Gold Coast United on Friday.
"We've already played a lot of away games but that doesn't matter, it means there will now be a lot of home games and we're looking forward to playing in our own stadium with our own supporters, so we're looking forward to that game," Coolen said.
Melbourne Heart coach John van 't Schip said his side struggled to find their rhythm in the game at AAMI Park.
"It was quite frustrating as we never seemed to be in the game," he said.
"We had to create and try to break through, but we didn't really achieve that in the first half.
"In the second half, we managed to start better, creating more pressure in their half. We had a few chances through Gerald (Sibon) and Alex (Terra) but it was too little to break them down."
Heart's next match is away to Wellington Phoenix in midweek.
