The video shows a mother dressed in River Plate gear strapping flares to her child’s body as she attempted to sneak them into the stadium.
Authorities in Argentina have confirmed the mother has been arrested with the child taken into custody.
She has been charged with putting her child’s life at risk and faces a potential eight years in prison.
As the video went viral it has been noted the watch on the woman’s wrist was a key factor in identifying the mother.

The video is a string of many chaotic events that occurred prior to the suspended Boca Juniors and River Plate game, including the attack on Boca’s team bus.
With two players rushed to hospital and others seen physically sick the game was understandably suspended.
CONMEBOL has yet to reschedule the second leg of the Copa Libertadores however, it is unlikely the arrested mother will see it.
