The team bus made its slow but eventful journey to the airport where scenes of fireworks, chants and flares covered the streets.
The decision to play the second-leg of the Copa Libertadores clash against River Plate came after the original game was postponed due to Boca's team bus suffering an attack from River Plate supporters.
It's safe to say the Boca team bus experienced a much different atmosphere to the one just over a week ago as their supporters rallied behind the Blue and Gold.

Fears for the two Argentinian sides' safety prompted CONMEBOL to move the second tie to the other side of the world, with the Bernabeu stepping up to the plate.
In what is possibly the most important game in South American footballing history, it will be the first time the Copa Libertadores final has been played outside of the Americas.
Both teams have made their disagreement with the move to play the game in Spain clear, labelling the move as 'robbing' the fans of the chance to attend the tie.
While each team has received 25,000 tickets, the Argentine government has worked with the Spanish authorities to ensure fans are kept apart in there travels.
As Boca Juniors and River Plate players make their way to Spain, they are due to play Monday morning 6:30 am (AEST) in what will be an intense affair.
