Roar’s match against Central Coast Mariners scheduled for Wednesday, November 24 at Bluetongue Stadium has now been rescheduled to Sunday, November 28 at the same venue with a new kick-off time at 3pm (AEST).

The club said this game was moved after a request by the FFA to accommodate the marquee match between LA Galaxy and  Newcastle Jets, to be played in Newcastle on Saturday November 27 at EnergyAustralia Stadium.

But the change also opened up an opportunity for Brisbane to reschedule their December 8 fixture against Perth Glory at Ballymore Stadium.

This match has now been brought forward to Wednesday, November 24 at Suncorp Stadium at 8pm and means there is no longer a clash with the U2 concert to be held in Brisbane on December 8.

“I would like to apologise to any of our fans who have already made arrangements around the two rescheduled fixtures,” Brisbane CEO Peter McLennan said.

“We understand that changing fixtures is not ideal at this stage of the season, but we believe the outcome is beneficial to all parties.

“While we strongly believe we would have lost nothing by playing the fixture at Ballymore Stadium, our rich vein of form at Suncorp Stadium can only be a positive for such a crucial match at this juncture of the season.”
