Roar coach John Aloisi has confirmed Roar will sign two more players, and potentially a third, ahead of the new season with a view to depth for the AFC Champions League.

Brisbane have lost several attacking players with Jamie Maclaren, Brandon Borrello, Tommy Oar and Thomas Broich all exiting.

Aloisi’s side have only made two signings so far this off-season, with Fahid Ben Khalfallah and Corey Gameiro added.

“We’re quite close to a couple of new players,” Aloisi said. “We’ll get another striker in, another winger, attacking players.

“We’re not that desperate to get three. We know we’ll get two for sure. We’ve still got young and experienced players, we’ve got a good mix.”

Roar have two visa spots available to use, along with a marquee position following Oar’s exit to Cypriot champions APOEL.

“We’ll get a marquee,” Aloisi said. “There’s quite a few names coming through. We’re confident we’ll be able to fill that spot.”
