Queensland Roar begins its tilt for A-League glory today (April 16) when it starts its pre-season training n Brisbane.

Livewire midfielder Massimo Murdocca told the club’s website that pre-season is not his favourite time of the year. “To say that I’m eager to play is an understatement; I just can’t wait. But first we have pre-season training and I’m definitely not looking forward to that; you’d have to be crazy to say you’re looking forward to preseason training.”
After the first six weeks of pre-season, Queensland will be move into a camp at Runaway Bay followed by some trial matches, the most high-profile of which will be a game on July 1 against South Africa's SuperSport United at Suncorp stadium.
