John Aloisi has been offered another carrot to return home to play in the A-League.
Queensland Roar remain the outfit most committed to landing the Socceroos striker’s signature and have reportedly guaranteed Aloisi marquee status. Marquee players do not fall under the salary cap, effectively removing any ceiling of how much they can be paid.
The deal offered to Aloisi is believed to be worth close to $700,000 over two years.
Craig Moore looks increasingly likely to leave Newcastle United and is another target for Frank Farina but only if the bid for Aloisi collapses. Both Moore and Aloisi will be free agents, making them attractive signings.
