The man nicknamed 'God' was greeted by club officials and supporters ahead of a scheduled press conference this afternoon.
Fowler was then officially unveiled at Jupiters Casino where he revealed that he isn't feeling weighed down by enormous levels of expectation.
The striker is confident in his own ability but says it is about North Queensland Fury enjoying a successful first season, it's not all about Robbie Fowler.
Of those expectations, is he concerned? It wouldn't seem so. He told AAP: "Not really. I'm obviously quite grounded. I keep myself to myself and if I can do well, I do well. But more importantly it is about the team."
Fowler also said he wouldn't be making any demands to coach Ian Ferguson about the club captaincy either. It was a decision for the coach.
No predictions either from Fowler, only that it was an interesting time ahead.
Coach Ferguson said: "Robbie is obviously doing a bit of work himself before he comes on board on the 1st of April, I am just looking forward to getting him on board, training with us and the boys are obviously looking forward to training with him."
