Former French International and current Villarreal CF winger, Robert Pires has apparently been approached by Gold Coast United owner, Clive Palmer, about a guest stint in the Gold Coast's inaugaural season. It is believed that Palmer has approached Pires' agents and the two parties are now in negotiation about a possible stint.Meanwhile, the free-spending Coast are also believed to have put forward a fairly meaty and tempting offer to Argentine striker, Hernan Crespo. Currently not getting regular game time in the Serie A with Internationale, the striker of 65 caps for his country is looking to the Gold Coast's offer and looks a very high chance of going if all goes well.
